JIndrayani Nyoo Putro Juara III PPRI ke 12 tahun 2013 Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia
Jindrayani Nyoo Putro mahasiswa Teknik Kimia Unika Widya Mandala Surabaya angkatan 2011 berhasil menjadi Juara III Pemilihan Peneliti Remaja Indonesia ke 12 tahun 2013 yang diadakan oleh Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI). Final PPRI ke 12 tahun 2013 telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 dan 15 Nopember 2013 di LIPI Jakarta.

Pemenang TICA 2013 (Tokyo Tech Indonesian Commitment Awards 2013)
Pada ajang TICA 2013 ini mahasiswa-mahasiswa Teknik Kimia Unika Widya Mandala Surabaya kembali menunjukkan prestasi terbaiknya dengan memperoleh beberapa penghargaan. Jindrayani Nyoo Putro berhasil meraih 3 paper terbaik (pemenang) TICA 2013, sedangkan Merry Anggraeni Setiawan dan kawan-kawan meraih 9 best papers (finalis) TICA 2013. Sedangkan 2 kelompok mahasiswa yang lain yang masing-masing diketuai oleh Cynthia Widjaja dan Anita Yuliviana masuk dalam kategori 50 best papers TICA 2013.

Finalis Pemilihan Peneliti Remaja Indonesia (PPRI) Ke-12 Tahun 2013
Satu mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Kimia Unika Widya Mandala Surabaya yaitu Jindrayani Nyoo Putro berhasil masuk final dalam Pemilihan Peneliti Remaja Indonesia (PPRI) ke tahun 2013 yang diselenggarakan oleh Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI).
Jindra berhasil masuk final pada kategori Bidang Ilmu Pengetahuan Teknik. Finalis-finalis dalam kategori ini adalah sebagai berikut

Artikel dengan judul "Preparation of nanoporous carbon microspheres by subcritical water carbonization and electrocapacitive study" berhasil dipublikasikan di Electrochimica Acta 111 (2013) 99-107. Electrochimica Acta merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Elsevier dan mempunyai Impact Factor 2012 = 3.777.

Chemical Enginering Challange and Competition 2013
CECC (Chemical Engineering Challenge and Competition) merupakan ajang adu kreatifitas bagi siswa-siswa SMA se Jawa Bali yang diadakan jurusan Teknik Kimia Unika Widya Mandala Surabaya. Acara ini merupakan acara tahunan yang diadakan oleh mahasiswa dan jurusan Teknik Kimia Unika Widya Mandala Surabaya. Sekilas tentang Professor Cheng Zhong Yu
Prof Chengzhong Yu is an ARC Future Fellow and Group Leader in the
Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), the
University of Queensland. His research focuses on applied functional nano-materials
for biotechnology, clean energy and environmental applications. He has
published > 150 journal papers in leading international journals, such as Nature Materials, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Small, Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Chem. Mater.; Chem. Commun. These journal publications have been
cited over 6600 times and resulted in an average citation per item of 44 and an
H-factor of 42.
He has attracted 4 DP (CI), 1 Future Fellowship and 2 LIEF grants from
the Australian Research Council, 1 grant from the Cancer Council of Queensland
(CCQ), 1 Queensland Research Partnership Project (RPP), and 12 grants from the
National Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Science and Technology
Committee, and the State Key Research Program of China before he joined AIBN in
2010. He has received many national awards from both Australia and China.

in the main areas of Petroleum Refining Technologies, Solid State Catalysis, Surface
Characterization, Material Science, Reactor Design and Modelling. He hold academic and
industrial appointments in Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Australia. He is a recognized authority
in the field of catalysis sciences as testified by the more than 160 scientific and technical papers
delivered at international forums and published in international referee Journals. His present
research interests include the development of new nanoporous siliceous and non-siliceous
materials and their functionalization to be used as catalysts for new sustainable green chemical
technologies as well as innovative membrane reactors. His work at the Centre involves the
synthesis, manipulation, and the physical, chemical and catalytic characterization of new
nanomaterials for natural gas, coal, biomass conversion into valuable chemicals, clean
hydrogen production, reformulation of heavy residues, waste plastic degradation into fuels and
heterogeneization of homogeneous catalysis for fine chemicals production.
